Comes with provenance.
In her Original Shipping box which is in poor condition but the doll is in good vintage condition. There are a few marks on her cap and right eye flaked (see close-up photographs for details.)
Even the original tissue is in the box.
1956 World-wide Doll Club, Rotterdam, Holland.This was a doll sent in 1956 to the USA as part of the World-wide Doll Club.
The original leaflet telling the story of the artist,Tina Van Dyck, Volendam, Holland, says "Printed in Holland for World-wide Doll Club Darien, Connecticut, U.S.A."
The doll is in her original outer shipping box from Holland. Vintage 1956 Tina Van Dyck Dutch Artist doll.
The box lid has a paper label stating "World-wide Doll Club, Rotterdam, Holland, sent to the USA in 1956. A story about the artist is inside.
Look at the large photo below and you will see 3 of the the original red 5c USA postage stamps postmarked 1956 WASH, plus part of a 10c Nederland stamp, are on the box lid, together with a "Douane" Customs declaration stamped Volendam.
The shipping box is shown in the close-up photographs - it very clearly got battered in the mail on the way from Europe.
